Heirs of Azeroth
Guild Website

New Recruits

Welcome, prospective Member! You're here because you are either interested in joining Heirs of Azeroth or you're a new Member and have been directed here by an Officer. Regardless, this page will outline for you what will be expected of you in terms of behavior as well as general Guild Policy.

General Behavior

All Members are expected to adhere to our behavior guidelines which you can read in the Guild Charter. While we're not a strictly RP Guild, we do ask Members to be in-character when speaking publicly. You are not expected to remain in-character in Guild, Party or Raid Chat.

Forum and Website Registration

All Members are required to register for the website via the Forums. This will grant Members access to our Forums, Knowledgebase and Personal Portal pages. Registration also provides Members and Officers and easy way to keep in touch with each other outside of the game.

Registration requires an Invitation Code which can be found in-game in the Guild Information Tab. This is an effort to prevent SPAM from flooding our message boards (which has been a problem in the past).

If you're having any trouble registering for the Website, please contact Veilan in-game for assistance.

Ranks & Promotions

Initiate

  • All new members will go through a trial period known as the Initiate Period. This is a two week period in which Members should make themselves known and to participate in Social Events. Initiates will also need to register on the Website in order to complete this period.

Non-Raid Ranks

  • Rank 4
All Members who have completed their Initiate Period will be promoted to this rank. Members must have been with the Guild for a minimum of 15 Days and have achieved a minimum level of 10.

  • Rank 3
Members who have shown a good online presence, have been with the Guild for at least 30 days and have achieved a minimum level of 30.

  • Rank 2
This rank is more difficult to reach as these Members have shown an active duty to the Guild by participating in most Events, helping other members with Quests Completion and the acquisition of Equipment Upgrades and have reached a minimum level of 50. These members must also have been with the Guild for at least 45 days.

  • Rank 1
A rare rank, Rank 1 Members have proven themselves to be devoted to the Guild. They have extended a friendly and warm attitude to all Members, new and old alike. They have made their presence very well known and have participated in many of the Instance runs for the higher level dungeons. They may be a member of one of the official Arena Teams or they may run one of their own. These members must be at least level 60 and must have been with the Guild for at least 60 Days.

Raiding Ranks

  • Rank 3
These Raiders are new to the Raiding Ranks. Non-Raid Rank 1 must have been achieved and Raid Requirements must be met. These Members are also required to be present for training sessions.

  • Rank 2
Rank 2 Raiders have proven themselves effective within Raids. They are no longer under strict supervision and are no longer required to attend all training sessions.

  • Rank 1
The highest rank within our Raiding Teams, Rank 1 members will typically take on the responsibilities of a Group Leader during a Raid. These Members have demonstrated that they are proficient Raiders, are able to follow and carry out orders and are present for most, if not all, Raids.

Officer Ranks

  • Officer
The Elite amongst our Ranks, our Officers enforce the guidelines in our Guild Charter, help to settle disputes between our Members and are responsible for maintaining order within the Guild and on our Website as Forum Moderators. Their word is final and failure to follow instructions from an Officer can lead to disciplinary actions.

  • Guild Leader
    Veilan

Alternate Characters (Alt's)

Alternate Characters, or Alt's, are welcome in our Guild. You are not expected to bring your Main Character in. However, Alt's are governed by the same principles and guidelines set forth to all Members.

Members who have achieved a minimum of Non-Raid Rank 2 are permitted to bring in at most two Alt's. These characters will be given a Non-Raid Rank 4.

Joining & Leaving

We understand that there are times when you may feel that Heirs of Azeroth is no longer suited for you or you may have extenuating circumstance requiring you to leave. While we will be sad to see you go, we will not hold your decision to leave against you provided you meet the following criteria:

  1. You are leaving for good reasons - Examples would be a real-life friend insisting that you join their Guild, feeling that Heirs of Azeroth is not meeting your goals, etc. Reasons we do not consider 'good' include thing such as "I want better gear", "Nobody is helping me" or "Nobody will give me stuff".

  2. You inform the Guild Leader or an Officer prior to leaving - This is extremely important as it will be a deciding factor should you decide to rejoin.

  3. You have not been removed for violating Guild Charter - If you have been removed from the Guild for violating Guild Charter Guidelines, you will not be able to rejoin.

Any Member who has left the Guild on a positive note will be given an opportunity to rejoin at any time. Members who have left the guild on bad terms or have been removed will be considered but will need to speak directly with the Guild Leader.

Arena Teams & Forum Hosting

Heirs of Azeroth currently sports two official Arena Teams. Members will be allowed to join through an application process.

We understand that some Members may have their own Arena Teams. This is fine and we will embrace all Team Members. We are also able to host Arena Team Forums for our Guild Members. They will also be allowed to invite Non-Guild members of their Teams to join their Team's Forum.

Please consult Veilan for further information about Arena Team Forum Hosting.
